Karene Kaio

Karene has recently joined MWIS as part of the commercial team. Prior to joining MWIS, Karene worked as a solicitor at a northland firm where she gained extensive experience in a broad range of areas, including:

Estate and Succession Planning
Trusts
Relationship property
Subdivisions
Rural and Farming contracts
Property
Commercial transactions

Karene was raised on the Pouto peninsula and is of Ngati Whatua descent. Karene enjoys being involved in the Dargaville community, where she lives with her husband and 3 children, and is currently presiding chair of St Joseph’s Catholic School. Outside of work, Karene spends her time with whanau and friends, travelling or at the beach.
